2020 was a difficult and challenging year in many ways & we had to focus more intensively on disaster relief to provide basic sustenance to many remote villages in Assam / UP and Maharashtra
Apart from Food supplies & hygiene products for women, our team distributed blankets to remote villages to keep them warm in the harsh winds of winter
The evening is already turning chilly Women & children bare feet on, the elderly hunched over the sticks to balance them as they walk slowly – most of them in thin worn out clothes- the people of Madraha, Tandpur, Baleswarpurawa , these are as remote as we can get to in Uttar Pradesh.
But The Smile on their faces as the receive the blankets is truly the greatest gift we can ever ask for & worth every minute of our journey.
