“ There is no better gift one can give a young adult than the gift of education ”

Healing Lives is a family of like-minded souls whose primary focus initially was providing higher education for the underprivileged young adults to complete university. Though our priority still remains education, we now also look into providing certain basics for survival, namely agriculture and basic medical aid. We work in Kenya and India currently.

MESSAGE FROM THE FOUNDER

Too often we get lost in the nothingness of grandiosity, the vacuum of self-importance, the insatiable hunger of greed & vanity – Ironically forgetting that our self-obsession is the very thing that has isolated us from the attention and approval we crave from those around us….
Our empathy & sensitivity is the only hope – and it is in much greater demand now and far more limited in supply than ever before and we need every bit of it from wherever we can get it.

And yes, too often we underestimate the power of hope…. Even the tiniest one can turn a life
around….

What we see today are the gaping wounds of despair and desolation, no matter which part of the world, the widening gap between those who have and those who have never had, a complete generation of children & young adults deprived of the basics of food, shelter and education.

These will come back to hit us hard unless we choose to do something about it…. Help us to heal – one life at a time….

In an ideal world, every privileged successful human would consider it a duty and a blessing to share a tiny bit of what they have with those who don’t.

We step in and give the opportunity to finish the education as we firmly believe that it would be a pity and indeed a disservice to the youth to let such bright minds back on the streets with no hope and no one to turn to.

It is important to mention here that it is not only financial assistance we provide but a social & emotional support. These young adults become a part of our family and as such receive our guidance and direction.
